Dog Days of Cape Cod is a family business, and we want your pup to become a part of our family!!! I am the owner, Chris Ratches. The rest of the family members associated with the business are: Thornton (a 13 year old Cape Cod black dog), Bruschi (a 3 year old Cape Cod black dog) and Pesky (a 1 year old golden-mutt). These three gentleman are the proprietors of the day care and will be happy to welcome your pups.
Dog Days of Cape Cod is located near the "Gateway to Cape Cod." We are in Bourne, Massachusetts located right off of MacArthur Boulevard (Route 28) , the only major road from the Bourne Bridge to Woods Hole, at 55 Jonathan Bourne Drive. We serve Falmouth and all of its villages (East Falmouth, West Falmouth, Falmouth Village, Falmouth Heights, Teaticket and North Falmouth) as well as Bourne and all of its villages (Gray Gables, Pocasset, Sagamore Beach, Buzzards Bay, Monument Beach, Cataumet) and the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
About Me
I have been in the engineering field for the last seventeen years. After a number of years working for a government contractor in Connecticut, and more recently a local power plant in Massachusetts, I have decided that I need to do what I truly love, and that is working with animals. I grew up in what most people would call a zoo....always at least one dog and cat (usually more), a number of birds, miscellaneous critters (mice, gerbils, guinea pigs), outdoor pets that adopted us, and yes, even sea monkeys! Since being on my own, I have owned four cats, two of which lived happy lives of about 14 years each, and currently have two cats and the three dogs listed above.
I attended a Vet Tech Assistant course, and have received a certificate of completion. I am also certified in both cat and dog CPR and first aid, as well as having a great understanding of animals. Bruschi has been to Joseph's Obedience School for two levels of basic obedience, plus a run through agility. Pesky has completed level two of basic obedience training at Joseph's Obedience School, right next door to the daycare!!
Our doggie daycare will allow your dog to be just that......a dog. They get to come in and play for the day!! So.....................
